He said the money on the table was almost his entire roll at that point. Koon was the most open at the table in sharing stories, he told one where he was in a game very early after he arrived on the scene in that part of the world where it had got kicked up 4 or 5 times from where it started and it was way out of his comfort zone at that point but he kept playing. Tom said he never really bothered about the amounts until towards the end of the session when he would be converting the HKD back to USD in his head to get a rough idea of how much he won and having to do the math a couple of times over in his head because the amount won was so big he often didn't believe it could be the real number. He was asking Tom at the table did it ever feel like real money cause it didn't at times to him with the fact they played in HKD.
He told a story where he flew out to play that stake and was told when he arrived the game had been kicked up and was too big for him to play in that day. It was a WPT cash game ages back where the players shared quite a few stories from these games at the table.ĭan Smith has played some 2/4k out that way.
